Vol. 5 Issue 2
From the Editor
For this issue, we have published very few but excellent articles on the core area. Angshuman Mukhopadhyay has written on Chandrasekhar Kambar’s Jokumarswami and Siri Sampige belonging to the folk form of theatre. Shatarupa Mishra has analysed the contribution of folklore to the theoretical perspective. Sami Hossain Chisty’s article considers Kaiser Haq’s “Ode on the Lungi” as a representation of the resistance to the politics of socio-semiotic violence. Dustin Pickering’s essay on the tradition of sacrificing animals is quite interesting. However, in the poetry section, we have selected some poems which are not only excellent in style but they are varied as well.
